Cohen, Mordechai (Marco)

Mordechai (Marco), son of Moshe and Sultana Cohen, was born on October 15, 1933 in Turkey. He lost his mother when he was one year old. He attended an “Alliance” elementary school and immigrated to Israel in 1949 and belonged to Hapoel Hamizrachi. Mordechai was a construction worker. He was drafted into the IDF in December 1950. Mordechai fell in battle on the 27th of Adar II, 5711 April 4, 1951 and was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahalat Yitzhak.
