Cohen, Mordechai

Son of Hanna and Yehuda, was born on June 8, 1960 in Tel Aviv. Mordechai was a member of a traditional family. He studied at the Amiel State Religious School and then studied for one year in a Kfar Chabad school and continued his studies in a religious vocational school, “Torah and Crafts” in the Carpentry Department, where Mordechai was a good son and loved his parents. Mordechai was a shy boy and answered, loved to help his friends and was devoted to every role, and he loved sports very much.In August 1978 Mordechai joined the IDF. After undergoing basic training, he was assigned to serve as a food supplier. He took part in several professional courses and was promoted to corporal in April 1979. Mordekhai was promoted to the rank of sergeant one year later, and on September 30, 1980, Mordekhai fell during his service and was buried at the age of 20. In memory of his family: “During his entire service in the unit, Mordecai found persistence in his work. He was admired by his friends, and earned the respect of his commanders as a disciplined and dedicated soldier. “
