Cohen, Michael (“Micha”)
Son of Zechariah HaKohen and Kamen. He was born on September 24, 1944, in the city of Bengardan, Tunisia, where he immigrated to Israel in 1950. He was educated in the “Yeshiva” of Chabad and the Meiri elementary school. Afterward he completed his studies at the ORT vocational school in Lod and was trained in the field of electricity for cars by the Ministry of Defense. In the last days of his life, he worked in an electric company in the El Al airline company. Excelled in his work and admired his friends and superiors. He belonged to the Hapoel Hamizrachi movement and was a member of its young leadership. His hobbies were radios and classical music. He did voluntary work in the synagogue for Tunisian immigrants in the installation, repair and inspection of electricity. Quiet and humble in his work. Full of joy of life and similar to all his co-workers. Packed with plans for the future. He was drafted into the IDF in November 1962 and served in the Armored Corps, then went on to reserve duty from time to time and was also before the Six-Day War, on the fifth day of the battles, he was A. Sivan (9.6.1967) In the half-track in which it is located. Was buried in the military cemetery in Afula and was later transferred to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
