Meir, son of Masuda and Abraham (Albert), was born in May 1954 in Casablanca, Morocco, where he immigrated to Israel with his family in Israel, and attended the Janusz Korczak elementary school in Kiryat Shmona. He was survived by a father, a mother, three brothers and a sister. In a letter of condolences to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Meir was discovered in his talents while he was a trainee and was in an excellent apprentice course.
