Cohen-Lesk, Amitai-David


Son of-Israel-Meir and Liuba. He was born on December 3, 1935 in Jerusalem, the father of a writer, editor and translator, and the family belongs to great Torah scholars such as Shlomo Luria, Rabbi Yehiel Mikhel HaCohen of Nemirov, R ‘Akiva Eiger, Rabbi Yom Tov Lipman Heller (author of “Tosfot Yom Tov”), etc. After completing his studies at the Hashmonaim Elementary School in Tel Aviv, he studied at the Alef High School and completed his studies there, showing a tendency to literature and aspiring to law after completing his service in the army (15 and a half) – July 1953 – and served in the air force; He was promoted to lieutenant. On 13/03/1956 he fell in the line of duty with his friend and both were brought to rest in a grave in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
