Cohen (Iraqi), Avner

Their son was the firstborn of Shimon and Shoshana. He was a diligent student, very fond of reading books, and read every book that came into his hands, by nature he was kind and always trying to help others. Avner was conscripted into the IDF in February 1968 and assigned to the Artillery Corps. On September 19, 1969, he fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa and a Torah scroll in his memory was brought to the Neveh Hayim Synagogue in Kiryat Yam.
