Cohen, Ido
Son of Yael and Daniel, was born on 16 July 1965 in Switzerland. When he was 6 years old Ido immigrated to Israel with his parents in 1971. He began his studies at the elementary school in Ramat Efal, and moved to the elementary school in Ramat-Chen. Ido completed his high school studies at the Kfar Silver School in a social and economic program. Ido enlisted in the IDF in July 1984 and served in a Nahal unit. He underwent basic training with his friends in the nucleus, and saw his future as a combat soldier and settled in a new kibbutz that would rehabilitate his core. Ido was killed during his service at the age of 19. Ido was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul in Tel Aviv, where he left behind his parents and a sister, and his unit commander wrote to his family: Ido was a member of the movement and a model soldier, admired for his friends.
