Cohen, Ehud (“Udi”)


Son of Avraham and Yehudit. He was born on 26.11.1956 in Holon. He was a clever child, diligent and diligent in his studies, straight and furious against every burden, friend and good friend, a devoted son of his family, pleasant and responsive. After completing his studies at the Syrkin elementary school in Holon, he began to study at the ORT vocational high school in the city of electronics. And so his teacher at the school, Mr. Tomashin, says: “During all four years of his studies he was in the elite, an exemplary student, and he was the only student in his entire 10th grade in mathematics: everything was modesty, respect for the teacher, fair treatment for students and above all Integrity, and high morals, and so his friends loved him, respected him, and he, the quiet, became one of the most positive leaders of the class. ” Ehud was drafted into the IDF at the end of October 1974 and volunteered for a pilots’ course, successfully completing the preparatory course and being sent to a helicopter pilot training course in the US He was joined by a helicopter pilot and was a good pilot, a quiet and serious officer who loved his squadron squadrons, commanders and subordinates. On May 10, 1977, Udi was killed in a helicopter crash in the Jordan Valley, killing 54 soldiers, bringing him to rest in the military cemetery in Holon, leaving behind his parents and a sister. The bereaved family wrote to his bereaved family: “Udi turned out to be a quiet, disciplined and talented officer. He played his part passionately and loved his occupation.
