The only son of Yona and Yosef was born on May 5, 1930 in Kfar Hasidim, where he completed elementary school in his village and continued to study for two years at the Yavneh High School in Haifa, Akiva “youth movement in Kfar Haroeh. David taught his urban friends to love nature and agricultural work. He took advantage of every free hour of studies to help his parents with their agricultural rehabilitation, to pursue agricultural studies, to develop the agriculture and to be a loyal follower of his parents’ life-work. As a member of the Hagana, he held local security and security positions. In May 1948, with the declaration of the establishment of the State of Israel, he enlisted in service and served in the religious company of one of the Alexandroni Brigade. With his company, he took part in conquering and guarding outposts, mainly within the borders of the “Triangle”. On December 28, 1948, during the “Horev” operation, a “liquidation” operation was carried out against the “Faluja pocket,” in which an Egyptian brigade was besieged. The attack took place on the eastern flank of the “pocket” in the area of ​​Iraq al-Manshiyya. Forces “Alexander” burst into the village from the south and took over the part, but the assault was repulsed mound north of the village. Meanwhile, the Egyptians recovered and attacked and forced our forces to withdraw. Part of the force was trapped inside the village. In this battle he fell, and as it became clear afterwards, he bravely fought with all his comrades until they fell there that day. He was buried in Faluja. On the 17th of Kislev 5710 (8.12.1949) he was laid to rest in the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
