Cohen-Arav, Yaakov (Amnon)


Son of David and Rosa. He was born in 1932 in Jerusalem. Growing up in the Zichron Yaacov neighborhood in a traditional observatory. He studied at the Talmud Torah and at the “Kol Israel Haverim” school. He was found in the fighting brigade of Lehi Jerusalem and took part in many activities in and around the city, and in the underground, they called him Amnon, and despite his young age, he fulfilled his duty faithfully and sometimes even beyond his obligation. He fell on the 20th of Tammuz 5707 (27.7.1948). He was buried in Sanhedria. On September 20, 1951 he was transferred to Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. He was killed at the age of 16. In December 1947 he volunteered for the Haganah and took part in a number of activities, such as the bombing of a bridge near Gedera,
