Cohen, Alphonse (“Cino”)

Son of Hamus and Julia. He was born on August 27, 1942 in Tunis. In 1949 the family immigrated to Israel. Alphonse was drafted into the IDF in May 1960. He fell in the course of his duties on the 13th of Cheshvan 5723 (October 23, 1961) – the day after the Sabbath he had spent on holiday with his family (his parents, sisters and brothers). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya.
