Cohen, Adina
Daughter of Shukher (HaKohen) and Miriam. She was born on April 3, 1958, in Moshav Batcha. She studied at the Nahalim Elementary School, continued and completed her studies at the religious high school in Ofakim. After completing her studies, Adina began working as a caregiver in a nursery school in the moshavah. She was very successful in this role and loved everyone. When she was a child of a large family, Adina learned to be independent and mature, and from a young age she knew how to take care of her needs. She was a loyal and dedicated daughter to her parents and family, and she helped them whenever she was asked. Adina was drafted into the IDF in January 1977. After basic training she was assigned to the Armored Corps and sent to the Armored Corps Headquarters as a clerk, quickly integrating into the life of the unit and winning the hearts of everyone around her. On the one hand, she was timid and shy. On the other hand, she was vibrant and full of life. “On the 27th of Elul 5737 (10.9.1977) Adina fell while serving in the south of the country and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in the moshav of Bethesha She left behind her parents, five brothers and four sisters, and her family donated a Torah scroll in her memory to the synagogue in Moshav Batcha.
