Cohen, Abraham (‘Avi’)
Son of Yitzhak and Tzipora. He was born on the 5th of Sivan 5713 (5.6.1953) in Kiryat Bialik. He completed his elementary studies at the Habonim elementary school in Kiryat Bialik and continued his studies at the military boarding school in Haifa with a biological track. Avraham was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in November 1971 and volunteered for the Israel Air Force after completing his mandatory service, continuing to serve in the regular army, Avraham was killed in the performance of his duties on March 7, 1978. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa and left behind his parents and two brothers in a letter of condolences to his family: “Your son, He was a loyal friend, a brave fighter, an excellent professional, from a group of unique individuals.
