Cohen, Abraham

Son of Moshe and Aziza. He was born on 7 July 1937 in Basra, Iraq, and completed his studies in four grades in the elementary school of “Kol Israel Haverim” in his hometown and after immigrating to Israel in 1947, when he was ten years old, In Kibbutz Sde-Nahum, where he was transferred to the youth club in Alonim and was there until his enlistment in the IDF in December 1953. He liked to read professional literature, especially in agriculture and mechanics, in order to settle with his mother in the Negev after completing his army service. He fell in the line of duty on the 22nd of Adar 5705 (16.3.1955) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
