Chopin, Shlomo (Shlomi)
Ben Esther and Isaac. He was born on September 6, 1974 in Rehovot, the city where he grew up and grew up. Shlomi was the youngest son of his parents and a younger brother to his three sisters. He began his studies at the Smilansky elementary school in Rehovot and continued at the De Shalit high school in the city. Shlomi was a sensitive and introverted boy who liked to write poems. His friends liked to talk to him and appreciated his conversational abilities and his emotional depth. In July 1992, Shlomi enlisted in the IDF, motivated to contribute, and underwent training at the 13 th Training Base, after which he successfully completed a course for drivers in the framework of Training Base 6. At the end of the course he was assigned to the Judea and Samaria Division, . Shlomi quickly integrated into the unit. He was fond of the commanders and soldiers for his kindness, his delicacy and his willingness to help at any time. With many of them having contact relationships; A particularly strong and warm relationship with Shlomi, his direct commander, the unit commander. Shlomi wrote: “I had the privilege of recognizing Shlomi, his gentleness, his peace of mind, traveling and the events we were traveling in. Shlomi began his career as a driver in a communications maintenance company and after a few months I asked him to be my personal driver. Always with a smile and always wanted to know everything and was interested in any special activity we went to. He was nineteen when he fell. He was buried in the military cemetery in Rehovot. Survived by his parents and three sisters – Sarit, Shoshi, and Amalia.
