Ben Alexandra and Vladimir. He was born on May 31, 1985 in the city of Kataisk, Russia. Brother to Anna. He spent eight years in elementary school in his hometown, at Katasek’s No. 1 school. In 1998 he immigrated to Israel with his parents and sister, and the family settled in Be’er Sheva. Edward was well absorbed in Israel, learned the language and acquired friends. They called him by the nickname “Batya,” while his sister called him “stuffed.” Edward’s main hobby was basketball. In Amal 1 high school in Be’er Sheva, he studied in a professional track and was qualified as an electrician. Edward had good qualities and was full of joie de vivre. He loved his girlfriend and his friends, and planned many plans for the future. When he was drafted, at the end of November 2003, Edward was assigned to the Border Police, just as he wanted and dreamed. He served in the Border Guard unit, which was assigned to secure the border between Israel and Egypt, focusing on the war on arms and ammunition dealers, drug traffickers, and traffickers in women, who was proud of his role and uniform, loved his service and was loved by his commanders and friends. 2005, Edward went with his friends on a security patrol along the Israeli-Egyptian border in the unit jeep, which was a very narrow and winding road, near Wadi Lutz in the Har Harif area, the jeep driver lost control of the vehicle, Edward was seriously injured in the head and died on the spot.The three other occupants of the jeep were slightly injured, and Edward, 19, was taken to his resting place Military cemetery in Be’er Sheva.
