Chezik, Michael
Ben Yehudit and Michael, a brother to Lina. Was born on September 25, 1983 in Lugansk, Ukraine, where he studied for five years until the end of fifth grade. On October 12, 1995, at the age of twelve, he immigrated to Israel with his mother and sister. The family lived in Tiberias and Michael began his sixth grade at the “Kinar” elementary school. Michael attended seventh grade in a boarding school in Kfar Galim and eighth grade in the Yad Hannah religious public school in Afula. From the ninth to the twelfth grade, Michael studied at the police academy in Maalot, and he was very fond of the school and was a substitute teacher for the lower grades, and Michael was a very honest man who always sought integrity, justice and truth in the world. He played football and was interested in computers and weapons, and Michael loved the State of Israel and wanted to contribute as much as he could to combat service in the IDF. He made a paratrooper formation but did not pass it. On July 30, 2002, Michael joined the IDF and served in the “Shaked” Brigade in the Givati Brigade, where he served for two and three months in Gaza, was friendly and loved by everyone, arranged with everyone and was surrounded by many friends who loved him. (28.10.2004) Michael fell in combat at the Morag outpost at the age of twenty-one, and was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Tiberias. Survived by his parents and sister.
