Chernivtsi, Arie (“Arik”)
Son of Avraham and Adina. He was born on September 5, 1945 in Tel Aviv. He studied at the “Hahayal” elementary school, and after completing his studies he studied in the biological track of the high school (the urban high school) T. He was naturally good-natured, with a good Lev and a worn-out daughter always hovering on his lips. For years he was a member of the Scouts movement in Yad Eliahu and was a counselor in the movement, and as a child he fell and as a result of this fall he was so badly damaged that because of this fact he could To be released from military service when he reaches the IDF or at least to be drafted into a non-combat unit. But Arieh insisted on his intention and wanted to serve in a combat unit – and in August 1963 he was drafted and served in Golani. Aryeh said to continue his studies at the university after completing his regular service and studying biology, the profession he had been fond of since his youth. But fate wanted otherwise, because about a month after his enlistment, on the 24th of Elul 5723 (13.9.1963) died in his illness; It was about a week after he was 18. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
