Chazan, Shalev

Shalev, son of Noa Rivka and Yosef Chazan, was born in Eilat on the 1st of Tishrei, Rosh Hashanah 5768 (2.10.1997). From the first year of school he stood out as a polite student, respectful of others and his friends. On 8 December 2015, he enlisted in the IDF. He was very excited when he was drafted, already in high school he had successfully passed a screening test and was supposed to serve as an investigator in the Military Police Investigations Unit. He was sent to the 13th Military Police School and began his training. Eight days after his induction, he collapsed in the dining room at dinner. He was found to have had a serious allergy to food he was exposed to. After twelve days of struggle, he surrendered and died. Shalev fell during his service on the 15th of Tevet (27.12.2015). He was eighteen years old. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Eilat.
