Chaver (Tachaur), Issachar

He was born on November 2, 1925, in Nuremberg, Germany, and in September 1933 he immigrated to Jerusalem with his parents, finishing the Horev religious elementary school and the Mizrachi religious seminary. Issachar served for a while in a quartermaster shop in Jerusalem and went on a special assignment with a Palmach company that was sent as reinforcements to Gush Etzion, where he tried to return to Jerusalem in a convoy and remained in Masuot Yitzhak, to reassure his parents that he was engaged in the work of the land. Except for a few minor shortages of clothing, etc. In this “good state” he continued his work and fighting until he fell in the fall of Kfar Etzion on the 4th of Iyar 5708 (13.5.1948). On the 17th of Cheshvan 5710 (November 17, 1949) he was brought with his friends who had fallen with him in the defense of the Gush to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
