Chativa, Yair
Son of Aryeh and Aliza. He was born on August 27, 1940 in Kfar Vitkin. He graduated from the village high school. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement. He was active in all areas of the agriculture and in various sports activities, but his main hobby was discovered at a young age, he was the pilot, and in many of his notebooks from the school days, and even in the period after that, there are airplane paintings. When he arrived in the IDF, he volunteered for the air force, and on the eve of Yom HaAtzma’ut in 1961, the Kfar Vitkin Committee, together with the parents, published a book in his memory In memory of his younger brother Dan who perished in a road accident). A monument was erected in his memory at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. This fallen hero is a “maklan” – a hero whose burial place is unknown.
