Chamo, Daniel (Danny)


Son of Chaim and Shoshana. He was born on the 23rd of Tammuz, July 11, 1947, in Casablanca, Morocco. The family immigrated to Israel in 1949, and settled in Jerusalem. Daniel studied at the Carmeli and Geulim Elementary Schools in Jerusalem. He then studied at the Kol Israel Chaverim and the Matriculation High School. He enjoyed sports. After being drafted into the IDF, the Six-Day War broke out. On the third day of battles, Daniel was wounded, in a battle in Kibbutz Dafna, from enemy shelling that directly hit him. He died of his wounds on the 28th of Iyar, June 7, 1967. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery, on Mount Herzl In Jerusalem.
