Chaim, Shmuel


Son of Yehuda (Leon) and Rosa. He was born on August 16, 1943, in Bouk-Belair, France. A few months before, his father had been captured by the Germans in the same way that many Jews were treated there-and the mother and her sons were left without sustenance. The last two years of the World War brought suffering and distress to the family but with inhuman force remained alive. In 1945, the family decided to immigrate to Israel and settle there, and when she reached the last wandering station, that was her wish. Shmuel was six years old. After the family settled, they were transferred to Herzliya. Shmuel was seven years old when he began to study in an elementary school and overcame difficulties he found in his way, such as lack of knowledge of language and absorption among the youth. After school, he and his brother worked, helping the mother with the household agriculture. For the family to the Neveh Israel neighborhood – and then Samuel – he continued his studies there – he was a favorite of carpentry and painting and his favorite sport was soccer – a good and pleasant son, he was very Simcha and Simcha with his decisions. The only one of his mother, even though he was only 15 years old, had completed his studies successfully and was eager to learn a profession, but he had no means to do so, while he worked in the factory and his managers praised him for his diligence. – Served in the Armored Corps. But when there was no improvement in his health, he was transferred to the hospital where he died of his illness on 24 July 1962. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
