Born in 1931 in Baghdad, capital of Iraq, he graduated from elementary school and studied tailoring in order to support his widowed and sick mother, served in the Iraqi army and immigrated to Israel in 1950. He fell in battle at the Jordan River near the Sea of ​​Galilee On the 5th of Nisan 5711 (May 5, 1951.) He was buried in the military cemetery in Afula and on the 5th of Sivan 5712 (June 5, 1952) was transferred to the eternal military cemetery in Haifa.
