Caspi, Ron


Ben Ora and Uri, the eldest brother of Gil and Alon. He was born on May 24, 1965 in the Sharon Hospital in Petach Tikva. Ron grew up in Kiryat Moshe, Petah Tikva, where he studied for six years at Ma’ale Hazeitim Elementary School in Kiryat Matalon. When he was twelve years old, the family moved to Ramat Gan, where he studied in grades 7-8 at the Pardes School (later Mordei Hagetaot), and continued his studies at the Blich High School. After about a year he moved to the IAF Technical School in Haifa. He completed his high school studies with honors and holds an engineering practical diploma. Ron used to spend his free time fishing, assembling watches and listening to music. In February 1984 Ron enlisted in the air force, and in November 1991 joined the ranks of the career army and served there for 12 years. Ron was a dedicated, thorough and responsible man, a highly skilled professional who worked many hours and received great appreciation from his commanders and friends in the army. He was also known for his great help to others. In recent years, he has become close to religion, learned Torah in the evenings and distributed portions to the needy (Rimonim and Kamcha-Dafsa) and to those in need.Rasson Caspi fell during his duty on December 14, 2003, at the age of thirty-eight. In the Kiryat Shaul Military Cemetery, leaving behind his parents and two brothers.
