Caspi, Moshe


Moshe (Modi), son of Naomi and Ephraim, was born on April 3, 1953, and grew up in Moshav Timurim. Moshe was drafted into the IDF in early August 1971. After completing basic training, he completed a tank driver course and continued his training as an armored patrolman, after which he served as tank commander in one of the tank brigades. Moody was a resourceful, coolhearted and courageous officer, who was careful to react to defects he had always sought and corrected, from the beginning of his career in the IDF to the time he was an officer and commander. On Wednesday, October 10, 1973, Moody fell on the fifth day of the war, when he was exposed in a turret, after his tank was hit, and he was riding his men from a Syrian infantry at the foot of Tel Yosifon in the Golan Heights. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Taymorim. Survived by his parents and sister. After his fall, he was promoted to lieutenant.
