Carmi, Nadav


Nadav, son of Nira and Nathan, was born on 28.11.1952 in Kibbutz Sa’ar, Nadav was recruited to the IDF in early November 1970 and volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade. During the parachuting course, he completed his studies at the military boarding school. He spent most of his days on the banks of the Suez Canal and the Golan Heights, in the paratroopers’ battalion, where he completed a course for infantry officers and ended up as an outstanding member of the company. Participated in most of the reprisals during his service. His commanders said that he was a responsible and intelligent officer, disciplined and determined, proactive, determined, thorough, capable, admired and a model for his soldiers. He was diligent, with a desire to move forward and with extraordinary physical fitness. He was a member of the career army. During the first days of the war, Nadav Betsa defended the area against the soldiers of the Egyptian commando unit on the afternoon of October 20, On the way to Ismailia, Nadav fell and was brought to eternal rest in the Haifa cemetery.
