Hazan, Max (Mickey)
Ben Ilana and Daniel. Was born on the 23rd of Tevet 5731 (23.12.1980) at the Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva. Fourth son to his parents, brother to Iris, Lisette, Eliahu, Sivan and Raz. Max was named after his uncle, his father’s brother, who fell in the line of duty in 1975. Max grew up in Dimona, began his studies at the Neveh Elementary School, went on to the junior high school in Alon, Max was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed youth movement and was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed youth movement, and before he enlisted in the army, Max lay in the school where he studied. A computer expert, loved music and cars, and had a special and close relationship with his younger brother Raz: In December 1999, Max was drafted into the IDF and took a driving course. Max was apprehended at the Matachim base near the Ramat Gan Regional Council, where he studied high school, where he was a talented soldier with high abilities and volunteered for many missions, and was awarded the rank of sergeant in just ten months. Max fell in combat in Bethlehem. He was called to escort a convoy in a jeep and was hit in the back by sniper fire on the Beit Tzahor road in Gush Etzion. Max was mortally wounded and was evacuated to Hadassah Hospital, where he died. A few minutes before the incident, Max spoke with his parents on the phone and said that he was happy and happy to take part in the anti-Intifada forces that had just begun. Max was buried in the military cemetery in Dimona. He was survived by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. The commander of the unit eulogized him: “Max was a symbol and a model of devotion and responsibility, and Max was a modest and quiet soldier, who performed his work with determination, demonstrating excellence in every field he dealt with. “We will remember his beauty and the courageous friendship he has associated with the soldiers and commanders of the unit.” Max’s mother wrote a poem to her memory: “My dear child / There is something special in you / that charms me every time anew / Something warm and loving / that penetrates me deeply / When you look into your eyes / See how good you are / And when you hear your voice / I wanted to tell you how pleasant it is to be with you / and with my heart I will keep forever / a place for you! “
