Hazan, Chaim


Son of Simcha and Machluf. He was born in 1883 in Morocco and immigrated with his family to Eretz Israel, where he settled in Jerusalem on Mughrabi Street and volunteered for the Jewish Legion – the 40th Battalion of the King’s Rifles in the British army. On the liberation of the land from the Turks, on 12 Sivan, June 10, 1919, Chaim died in the course of his duties and was laid to rest at the British military cemetery in Deir al-Balah.
