Camri, Benjamin
Son of Ayala and Sa’adia. He was born on May 9, 1952 in Rechovot. In the Yom Kippur War he fought in the rank of sergeant, and in August 1975 he was discharged from the army, but continued to serve in the reserves by profession. His commanders appreciated his dedicated and professional work and in 1980 he was sent to an aircraft ammunition test course. When the war ended, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and when the Peace for Galilee War broke out he was stationed in the Northern Command and fought in Lebanon, and on August 2, 1982, he traveled with a group of soldiers in his unit towards Rosh HaNikra. On the way they were ambushed and Benjamin was wounded.. On 1 Tishrei, 17.9.1982, he died of his wounds. He was 30 when he died. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Rechovot. He left behind a wife, a daughter, parents, four sisters and a brother.
