Cabelo, Charles
Son of Yaakov and Hermina. Born in Oran, Algeria, on 6 November 1937. Immigrated to Israel with his family in 1949. He spent some time in the framework of Youth Aliyah in Karkur and from there moved to the Porat Yosef religious institution in Jerusalem where he studied five years. He returned to live with his family and began working in a transformer factory until he joined the IDF in April 1956. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement. Was modest, devoted to his parents and loyal to his friends. On the 27th of Mershvan, 5727 (27.10.1956), he fell in the line of duty and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
