Buzaglo, Ilan


Son of Rachel and Joseph. Born in Tel Aviv on June 4, 1968, he studied at the Maginim Elementary School in Holon and later studied at the Yohana Jabotinsky High School in Rishon LeZion, in the mechanics track. Ilan was named after his father’s commander in the Armored Corps, Ilan Yekutiel, who fell in the Six-Day War, was a sports fan and played soccer in the Hapoel Tel Aviv soccer team, and he loved to dance and have a lot of time in Israel. Ilan was drafted into the IDF at the end of July 1986. After basic training, he was assigned to the maintenance corps as a truck driver. . When he completed his regular service, his release certificate stated: “Responsible, devoted, industrious, with a high work ethic, independent in carrying out his duties, professional, friendly.” After his discharge he worked as a tanker driver and was about to marry his girlfriend. On the 17th of Adar 5751 (March 12, 1991), while serving in reserve duty, Ilan fell during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Holon. Survived by his parents, two sisters – Mira and Fanny and Chaim. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “The late Sergeant Ilan served in my unit for three years and stood out in his diligence and diligence. Ilan was admired and accepted by his friends, was devoted to his work, performed it impeccably and always with a smile on his face. “
