Buzaglo, Abraham


Avraham (Avi), son of Fortuna and Eliezer, was born on February 24, 1953 in Moshav Zacharya, Abraham was drafted into the IDF in early August 1972 and was assigned to the Armored Corps. After completing basic training, he took a course in reconnaissance patrols and became a reconnaissance soldier, a dedicated and devoted soldier who served as an example to his friends in his good temper and obedience. On October 9, 1973, Abraham was killed in a kibbutz in the Golan Heights, when his unit encountered an ambush of military commanders (“bazookas”). At first, he was considered absent. His body was later identified and he was brought to eternal rest in the Mount Herzl cemetery in Jerusalem. He was survived by a mother, two brothers, and a sister.
