Burla, Remy


Son of Haim and Stella. He was born on March 8, 1935 in Jerusalem and completed his studies at the Hebrew Gymnasium in Rehavia, where he showed great interest in technique in general and electronics in particular. He was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces (Air Force) in September 1952 and was elected to the Electronic Officers Course and continued his career as an officer with the rank of lieutenant colonel.In both his civilian life and in the army he knew and liked to lend his hand to everything his help was useful and always willing to contribute to his organizational strength and talent He was a lover of all those who knew him – as a student, as a friend and as a soldier … On Independence Day 1953 he received a letter from the President of the State and was even invited To him personally because of his excellence in his unit. One day he was injured while carrying out his duties, and after a short period, on the 16th of Mershvan 5710 (21.10.1956), he died of his wounds. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. After his death he was promoted to lieutenant.
