Buki, Shlomo

Shlomo (Henry, Solomon), son of Regina and Abraham, was born on
the 18th of Heshvon, November 6, 1952, in Wroclaw, Poland, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1957. He was always willing to help others and was a loyal, devoted and caring son. Shlomo was drafted into the IDF in early 1970 and assigned to the Golani Brigade, where he participated in raids on the Lebanese border and in pursuits of terrorists on the northern border. He served as an example to his comrades in his good temper and passivity. In the Yom Kippur War, Shlomo participated in the battles with the Syrians in the Golan Heights. In the Battle of the Hermon, which took place on the 26th of Tishrei 5734, October 22, 1973, Shlomo was killed and brought to rest at the Mount Herzl cemetery in Jerusalem. He left behind a mother and two sisters, and was raised to the rank of sergeant: “Shlomo fought as a man knows for what He fought with courage, bravery, dedication and sacrifice. “
