Son of Hillel and Ruby. He was born on the 17th of Tevet 5717 (17.1.1957) in Morocco. He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1962. The family settled in Yokneam Illit. Shimon attended the Tidhar elementary school and continued his studies in the comprehensive high school, with the aim of mechanical frameworks. When he finished his tenth grade, he left school and began to work in his profession. He loved his work very well and had great ability and faith to create and work in all kinds of metals. Shimon was a pleasant, friendly and friendly boy, honest and principled. He had many friends who loved and admired him for his good qualities. His family had a dedicated and loyal son who always tried to help everyone as best he could. Shimon was drafted into the IDF in early February 1975 and volunteered for the Infantry Corps, after which he acquired a rifle profession and was assigned to one of the operational units of the Golani Brigade, and soon became known to his commanders and friends as a disciplined soldier and a good friend who was willing to help others On August 25, 1975, Shimon was injured while serving in the Kiryat Shmona area and was transferred to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Six days the doctors struggled for his life, but without success. On August 8, 1975, he died of his wounds and was brought to eternal rest in the military section of the cemetery in Yokneam, where he left behind his parents, brothers and sisters. Sorrow and pain over the death of Shimon, who was an excellent fighter and a good friend, ready to help his friends. His memory will remain with us forever. “
