Buchstadt, Alexander


Born in 1919 in Eastern Galicia, Poland, Alexander arrived in Eretz Israel with the Polish army under Anders, but deserted for a short period, staying with his family in Kvutzat Shiller and later enlisted in the British infantry brigade of the British army. On April 11, 1943, while guarding the camp near Haifa, Alexander was killed and died. Was brought to eternal rest in the Jewish section of the military cemetery on Haifa’s Hayat beach.
