Buchholz, Jonah (Bruno)

Son of Hedwig and Yechezkel, who came from Eastern Europe, was born on January 13, 1916 in Cologne, Germany, and joined the pioneering youth movement Habonim, In 1936, he joined the Gedera company, where he spent one year in a company in Sodom, and since then he devoted himself to the Haganah, and was one of the first notaries in Gedera and was responsible for the connection there. Bruno went up with the company to settle in the village of Szold, the extreme school point on the Syrian border, where he took root in the life of the agriculture and society. A wife and father of two children On January 17, 1948, a fierce attack by Syrian forces came on the spot, and Bruno rushed to his guard – to call the heliograph with the nearby communities – and then they defeated the enemy. Bruno was laid to rest on the soil of the village on whose watch he had fallen.
