Buchholz , Doron Hacohen

The youngest son of Yehudit and Yitzchak. He was born on the 21st of Sivan, June 10, 1985 in Holon. Doron was a popular boy, many friends surrounded him all the time. Doron was gifted with extraordinary wisdom and wanted to enlist in the Golani Brigade, a combat unit like his brother, two of whom were officers. He prepared himself for training at home, especially running, with a heavy knapsack on his back. Doron fulfilled his dream and began basic training at Golani, but for medical reasons and to his disappointment, he dropped his profile to 72. He was asked to change his assignment to the intelligence and computers field, so that he could contribute to the army in the best possible way. The day-to-day intensive, stressful conditions led to his collapse, and he was hospitalized at Unit 2. After a year of service, he was released from the army. Doron Buchholz died on Thursday, the 5th of Sivan, 28.5.2009 at the age of 24. He was buried in the Yarkon cemetery in Petach Tikvah, and was survived by his parents, sister and two brothers.
