Brosh (Harosh) Raphael (“Roly”)
Son of Yosef and Janet. He was born on the 8th of Av 5705 (7.8.1945) in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. In 1952 his family immigrated to Israel for agricultural settlement. He studied at the “Gederot” elementary school in the rural center of Rishon Letzion, and at the ORT vocational school in Rehovot. He was loved by everyone who knew him and especially by his parents, who cared for him always, nurtured him and aspired to see him not only as an expensive son but as a man, friend and partner in the agriculture. This is what characterized Rafael – the person in him. He has always distinguished himself in two qualities: diligently and willingly to help others. He was diligent at work and did not rest until he finished his work to the end, efficiently and accurately. At the beginning of August 1963, he was drafted into the IDF and spent three years in compulsory service, and after a year of rejoining the army, he was very much attracted to Rafael, because he wanted to live for a cause. And he was able to take advantage of all the obstacles with patience and patience, because he loved life and knew how to exploit it.
