Brooks, Albert
Albert, son of Sara and Yitzhak, was born in 1943 in Turkey and immigrated to Israel in 1957. He studied at an elementary school in Istanbul, Turkey, and after immigrating to Israel as part of the Youth Aliya, attended the Kfar Silver School. After completing his military service, he studied diamond polishing, and was drafted into the IDF at the end of November 1962 and underwent basic training for the second stage, after which he was discharged from regular service. After his discharge, he was assigned to reserve duty as a platoon commander. Since 1964 he has worked as a diamond worker with Ami and Goldman in Tel Aviv. Over the years, Albert specialized in the profession and became a diamond dealer. It was recently converted into an armored corps. Albert participated in the Six-Day War in the Sinai battles. He was called for periods of reserve duty and made them in Beit Shean, Jerusalem, the Jordan Valley and the Golan Heights. In 1973 he entered the Diamond Exchange in Ramat Gan. In recent years, Albert has traveled abroad and has visited Europe, where he is fluent in French, Spanish and English, Albert recently lived in Holon, and when the Yom Kippur War broke out, Albert was called to his unit and participated in the Sinai battles. (11.2.1974), in Rafah near the Morag Brigade, Albert fell during his service. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Holon. He left behind three sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal.
