Brooks Abraham (Albert)


Son of Sultana and Shmuel, was born in 1929 in Istanbul, Turkey. Where he attended high school. He immigrated to Israel in 1943, at the age of 14, and was educated in a youth company in Sde Nahum. He also spent a year in training at Givat Brenner. He was a member of the “Amalim” group of Hanoar Haoved, which was preparing to take the land (Kibbutz Tzuba). Was a fanatic of the fundamentals of the group and was very active socially. He served as treasurer until his last day. His friends nicknamed him “Negro”. He could compose funny songs and chants at parties. On the 28th of Kislev 5708 (11.12.1947), he went on a tour along the water pipe and fell with four of his friends on a tour of a battle with an Arab gang near Tel-El-Malach, between Mishmar Hanegev and Beer-Sheva, and was buried in Mishmar Hanegev, on the 15th of Cheshvan 5710 (15.11.1949) was transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
