Brooke, Haim (Neo-Nao)
Son of Yitzhak. He was born on January 7, 1914 in Dusseldorf, Germany. The name of his boat “Neo-Nao” stuck to him as a nickname and was preserved for his later occupation in the Land of Israel. In 1935, he immigrated to Eretz Israel and joined the “Hachugim” group at Kibbutz Ein Harod near the spring (later Beit Hashita). He adjusted well to work and was sent to work for the salt company in the Shlita. In the 1936 riots, he enlisted as a special policeman, and after the end of his duties he continued to guard and showed courage, and returned one morning, riding a bicycle, from Beit Hashita to Ein Harod, where most of the members were still sitting. He rode on a mine and was wounded in the legs and face but continued on his way and managed to stop the car. In December 1936, when he returned to his home after a guard night, he was shot in an ambush, and the bullet hit the spinal cord and he died in prolonged agony on 11 February 1937.
