After completing his basic training, he completed his tank training courses, completed a tank commander course, and finally successfully completed his training in the officers’ course. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Zvika was sent over to the southern front and took part in the bravery battles against the Egyptians. On October 7, 1973, some of the tanks under his command were hit and he went out to help rescue them. He was hit and killed during the operation. Zvika was considered missing for two months until his body was discovered in Egyptian-controlled territory. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by father, mother and sister. After his fall, he was promoted to captain. Every year in the Alliance school, a memorial day is held in memory of Zvika and other schoolchildren who fell in the war; The Tel-Aviv University published a collection of articles and studies in Hebrew in memory of Zvika and the memory of his father who died a few months after his son’s death.
