Brinberg, Asher-Israel


Asher-Israel, son of Rachel and Mordechai, was born on 29.3.1953 in Ramat Gan. Was drafted into the IDF in early August 1971 and assigned to the Armored Corps. He was a responsible and dedicated soldier and served as an example to his friends in his good temper, his passivity and his concern for his soldiers. On October 6, 1973, Asher fought in a fierce battle in the Juhder area of ​​the Golan Heights. During the battle he was seriously wounded and after nine days, on the 17th of Tishrei 5734 (October 15, 1973), he died of his wounds. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by father, mother, brother and sister. After his fall, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant.
