Bright (Jesse), Dan
Son of Zvi and Yaffa. He was born on September 5, 1945, in Kibbutz Nir David (Tel Amal), who were among its founders. He completed his 12th grade studies at the “Hashomer Hatzair” educational institution in Gilboa, and a few months later, in November 1963, he was drafted into the IDF and volunteered for the paratroopers. After completing his officer’s training course, he was a lieutenant colonel, a lieutenant colonel, a security man and a “defense” since his arrival in the country, and he was a quiet and humble person. He was devoted to his friends and loyal to them, and finally fell in battle with the Jordanians near Dvir when he commanded the platoon. When he was about to be released from the army, and the day before his parents fell, his parents received an emotional letter expressing his longing to return soon. And was raised to the rank of lieutenant on the first anniversary of his death, and the kibbutz published a book in his memory, and his memory was also mentioned in Uri Milstein’s book, “The Wars of the Paratroopers.”
