Brickman, Wolf

Son of Yehezkel and Sarah. He was born on Wednesday, 18 September 1958, in Kibbutz Brur-Hayil, a kibbutz of his parents, and completed his elementary and secondary studies at the Sha’ar Hanegev Joint High School. He was a good student and a devoted farmer, and when he grew up, he went to work in agriculture in the cotton industry and saw his future in this industry. Ze’ev was a sports fan and played mainly in volleyball and soccer, and was a member of the national soccer team and played volleyball on the kibbutz team. He took part in a course for volleyball coaches, was an avid music enthusiast and took part in the music department at the school, where he also played drums for his enjoyment, and was drafted into the IDF in October 1976 and volunteered for an air force course. After four months in the course, he decided to leave the corps and join the Nahal Brigade, and he was sent to basic training and despite the difficulties and hard training he never complained and accepted the burden with understanding, willingness and a strong desire to succeed – but fate cut short his ambitions. (26.12.1977) Zevik was killed while serving in the military section of the cemetery in his kibbutz, and left behind his parents and two brothers in a letter of condolence to the bereaved family: “Ze’ev did the basic training course in the unit and was supposed to finish it. His former commanders testify that he was a well-behaved, disciplined and devoted young man, whose death, which struck all his acquaintances with grief, interrupted the route Knee army very beginning. “
