Brick, Brent
Son of Gala and Marcus. He was born in 1879. During World War I he lived in London, England, where he volunteered for the Jewish Legion – the 38th Battalion of the King’s Rifles, and was sent to Eretz Israel to assist in conquering the Turks. In early October 1918, the battalion conducted an arduous trek from the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem accompanied by Turkish prisoners, many of whom fell ill, among them Brent. On 14.10.1918, he died of his illness and was laid to rest in the British military cemetery in Ramle. He left behind a wife.
