Brett, Eliezer (Leizer)


Son of Shoshana and Aharon was born on 18.1.1928 in Haifa. When he was one and a half years old, he contracted polio in one of his legs, and only thanks to his mother’s dedicated care, which he had been devoted to all his life, did he recover to a great extent if he had signs of the disease. He graduated with honors from the elementary school in Kiryat Motzkin. When the War of Independence broke out, his mother advised him to ask for a release because of the signs of his illness from childhood, and he replied: “If we do not advance our enemy on the battlefield, we will win over Our doorstep. “Throughout the entire period he participated actively in the battles of the” Yiftach “brigade (Palmach) ) And turned out to be a model soldier and a courageous fighter.
