Son of Dina and Raphael (Perry). He was born in Tel Aviv on January 3, 1970. Ze’ev was named after his uncle Ze’ev Cohen, who fell in the Six-Day War. He was a child full of joie de vivre, quiet, courteous, loved by his teachers and friends, especially the girls. He began his studies at the Dizengoff elementary school in his hometown and graduated with the Ironi Hey high school. Ze’ev was a tall, handsome, talented young man who had become an athlete. On school trips he carried weapons and helped the soldiers. He was a good student and successful, but not arrogant. From childhood he loved the sea, and when he grew up he used to go to the beach every day with his tongue, summer and winter, and surf the waves. Ze’ev was a member of the Seafarers and the Kayaks Club in the Yarkon and also played soccer. He even played the piano and painted well. In July 1988 he joined the IDF and was accepted into the Paratroopers Brigade. He excelled in his role, in which he expressed his leadership. On August 26, 1990, while carrying out his operational duties in the security zone near Metula, Ze’ev was injured while driving in a combat jeep and died of his wounds, and was buried in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery. In a letter of condolences to the parents, the commander of his unit wrote: “Your son was a leading soldier in the unit and was loved by both her soldiers and her commanders. He was highly operational and professional, motivated and motivated, and expressed in all his actions. Zeev fell in operational activity, whose goal was to defend the northern settlements, and for whose sake he invested his time and energy. We will always cherish his memory and preserve and preserve him in our hearts and deeds. “
